The Hertfordshire Nature Recovery Partnership is a collaborative initiative aimed at developing a Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) for Hertfordshire. The partnership brings together various stakeholders, including public, private and voluntary sectors, to work together on nature recovery efforts. The LNRS is a statutory requirement under the Environment Act 2021, meaning local authorities are legally obligated to create and implement it, focusing on restoring and enhancing local landscapes and wildlife. The partnership has engaged with the public and stake holders to shape the strategy, which aims to tackle biodiversity and climate crisis by identifying key habitats and species that require targeted recovery actions.
