🦋 Big Butterfly Count 2026 – Take Part in Walkern

A warm, dry spring means butterflies could be out in force this summer, and Butterfly Conservation is inviting everyone to join the Big Butterfly Count from 17 July to 9 August.

How to Take Part

• Spend 15 minutes in a sunny spot (garden, park, countryside).
• Count the butterflies you see.
• Submit your sightings online.

Why It Matters

Butterflies are key indicators of a healthy environment. Your sightings help track how species are doing across the UK.
